Accommodation and Dining

Country Hotel SVITAVICE offers comfortable accommodation in rooms with two, three, four, five and six beds, mostly with hot and cold water in the room. Some rooms have bunk beds for children etc. Communal showers and toilets are on the same floor. The majority of rooms have a view directly to the lake. The overall accommodation capacity is presently 62 persons.

Catering is available throughout the day in the in-house dining room, and a pleasant setting and extensive menu is available in the restaurant with adjacent bar.

In front of the restaurant is a large summer terrace with pleasant views across the lawns to the lake and the countryside beyond. In the courtyard is a verandah with more outdoor seating.

Dining room:
seating for up to 60 diners.
Restaurant with bar:
seating for up to 40 diners.
Outside summer terrace:
seating for up to 60 guests (closed in winter and bad weather).
Courtyard veranda:
seating for up to 30 guests (closed in winter).

Garden Pub “At the Hungry Catfish”

The old “teepee” near the lakeshore has been renovated and improved, and now functions as a small garden pub while the weather is suitable.

It is no longer necessary to walk up the hill to the main building or to bring your own food and drinks when you come to relax at SVITAVICE – we have brought cold drinks and light refreshments to you, right on our lawns:

  • Chilled beer on tap
  • Light refreshments
  • Ice creams and bottled drinks
  • Coffee etc.

By arrangement, you can enjoy an evening barbeque around an open fire on the stone-paved terrace; make your own music, party on until the early hours…

How did our garden pub get its name?

A year or two ago, a family was enjoying the day at SVITAVICE. They had a small dog – a Yorkshire Terrier – for which they had paid a nice price of 15 000,- CZK. They went for a swim, together with the dog. Suddenly there was a swirl in the waters – the head of a large catfish was seen and the dog disappeared in one mouthful! The hungry catfish got a very expensive lunch!!!

Sports and Recreation

  • Sports area with playing court for volleyball and legball.
  • Petanque (boules) court.
  • Swings, see-saws and sand pit for children
  • Rental of canoes and paddle boats (only in summer season).
  • Lawns for recreation, sunbathing and relaxation right down to the beach and the lake. Swimming.
  • Pool table, darts and table football in the main dining room.
  • Rental of sporting equipment - balls, bats, rackets, petanque (boules) etc.
